Governor's Foot Guard to enter into Litchfield's history!  Tallmadge House was built in 1775 by Thomas Sheldon, then purchased in 1782 by Washington's famous Revolutionary War aide, Benjamin Tallmadge.  Tour this historic house where plots were devised to throw off British rule and the Culper Spy Ring plotted. This event offers an incredible opportunity to experience the life and times of an historic patriot for one brief evening.  You will want to be there!

DOWN EAST BRUNCH

JUNE 16, 2018, 12 PM ~  Brunch for 24 Guests

Discover the coast of Maine in the Litchfield Hills: lobster rolls, clam chowder, fried clams, crab cakes, blueberry pie -- plus hearty grilled food for you landlubbers. The setting is the lovely, totally energy efficient Old Mt. Tom home of John Post (and reliable sources report that calorie intake at a “net zero” home is just that!!!). The home is a prime example of a net-zero house: so air-tight, well-insulated, and energy-efficient that it produces as much renewable energy as it consumes.

Enjoy outdoor lawn games - including that old favorite: Pin the claw on the lobster! Sea shanties! Great libations--including Moxie! Whoo-hoo!

Hosts: John Post, Michael Kazan, Laura Lasker & Tom Curran, Laura Cardello & Al Macchioni, Ellen Ebbs
